Comments:
My husbands father was born in either 25 or 28 high street in 1904. His name was Alexander Taylor, he had an older sister Jane and at least one younger sister called Catherine. His parents were Alexander Taylor and his wife (from Glasgow) was Jane - does anyone have any information on the family as I have started to do his family tree. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

My Grandmother Jane Jack was born at 26 High street in 1902. Her parents David and Annie had two more children there one- who died at 10 months- before they moved to 5 Factory Lane around 1907.

My father, James Duncan Robertson, although born in Edinburgh in 1901, lived most of his formative years in Avoch until about 1914. I believe that he lived at 7 High Street. His younger sister Catherine would probably have continued to live there after 1914 with their parents James and Helen Gregor Fraser Robertson. He also had an older sistr Grace.I know that my father went to school in Avoch.
Any information on my father or members of his family or any suggestions where information might be available would be much appreciated.
